INDIA, Post-Mauryan (Panchala). Panchalas of Adhichhatra. Achyuta, circa 4th century. AE (Bronze, 13 mm, 1.35 g). ACHYU (in Brahmi) Roman-style bust of Achyu to right. Rev. Wheel with pellet in circle and eight spokes. Extremely rare and of great historical interest. Minor deposits, otherwise, fine.

Achyu was the last ruler of the Panchala kingdom. He was defeated by Samudragupta and his territory was annexed to the growing Gupta Empire. Achyu's copper coins showing his portrait are extremely rare
